I am your typical fanatic Seahawk fan, also known as the 12th man. I’m creating this channel in the hopes of providing a fun in-depth mile high view of the current state of our beloved Seattle Seahawks. I try to distill the sources, rumors, innuendo in order to arrive at the bottom line. As well, I plan to do an ongoing video series diving into the lore of Great Seahawk Moments and players. The Seahawks extended defensive tackle Bryan Money this week to a two year contract extension for $12M. These two additional years will add to the last year of his rookie deal. The Seahawks didn't invest in a 0-tech this offseason for their 3/4. With this contract extension they are signaling that they believe Mone can handle those duties. He's certainly got the size, though this is a bit of a head scratcher of a signing for a player that has played well against the run at times, and not much else. Still, you need 0-tech to make the 3/4 work, which does make it an important part of the defense going forward. Did you like the re-signing? Let's discuss on the show.

According to Sportrac, the Seattle Seahawks have the 8th most amount of salary cap space at approximately $16,7000,000, and they just freed up $3.5M by restructuring Shelby Harris deal. This would seem to indicate something is imminent. It could be a DK contract extension or a trade or a signing of one of the remaining NFL free agents still available. On today's show, we'll take a look at the remaining free agents who could fit with our Seahawks.

Lost in the shuffle of the Russell Wilson trade has been the exciting of addition of Noah Fant as part of that trade compensation. Fant is not just a throw-in player to the deal. In 2019, he was selected in 20th overall in the first round of the draft. He's an elite athlete that has produced every year he has played. And while he's not yet tapped into that star potential that made him such a high selection, the potential is still there, tantalizingly close. On this show, we'll take a closer look at Fant, and his impact on the Seahawks offense.

The Seahawks choose not to select a quarterback in this prior NFL draft. The class was a weak one for the position, and the Hawks smartly decided to wait. This does mean that the next quarterback of the future for the Seahawks will likely be selected in next year's draft. With the offseason winding down it's time to take a look at the NFC West and assess how the offseason has gone for what has been the toughest division in football for the last few years running. Indeed, the NFC West has at times turned into an arms race. In this continuing series of live shows where I attempt to walk some Seahawks fan back off the ledge and provide some hope for the upcoming season, we turn our attention from the offensive backfield to the defensive backfield as another pillar by which this team will rely to turn their fortunes around. No other team will be paying more money to their safety position than the Seahawks. The coaches have a plan for getting value for their money, and it lies in the Cover-2 shell, an offshoot of the cover-2 defense. On this show we're going to analyze what this change means for our defense this upcoming season.
