I am your typical fanatic Seahawk fan, also known as the 12th man. I’m creating this channel in the hopes of providing a fun in-depth mile high view of the current state of our beloved Seattle Seahawks. I try to distill the sources, rumors, innuendo in order to arrive at the bottom line. As well, I plan to do an ongoing video series diving into the lore of Great Seahawk Moments and players. One of the best middle linebackers in the NFL may soon become available via trade as contract negotiations have broken down between Smith and the team has caused him to request a trade. Does it make sense for our Seahawks? What would be the cost, and what would Roquan's addition bring to this team? The Seahawks took to the field on Saturday and played a warmup scrimmage in preparation for their upcoming preseason game this week. On the show today we'll discuss who stood out, which quarterback is gaining ground in the ongoing competition, and how the generally looked as they started popping the pads full go. This past week, Jamal Adams broke his finger getting stuck in a helmet. This was one of the two same fingers that he had fused this offseason. Adams was a warrior about it, and back on the field within a couple of days. But he will play the season with a cast on his hand as it will require surgery later on. We'll discuss his injury situation on the show, and dive into some of what we're hearing from camp.

After protracted negotiations, the Seahawks have come to a deal on a contract extension with DK Metcalf. It's a 3-year 72M extension with $30 guaranteed. With all the exorbitant contracts given out to wide receivers this offseason, this deal looks like a bargain. And now DK firmly embeds himself as a building block of this team as we move into the future. On this show, I'm going to tell you why it's all worth it (and I would have even paid more).

A new season. Hope springs eternal. Our Seahawks have had an offseason of ups and downs while enacting heavy change across the board. The players reported yesterday, but they begin to take the field today. We have news of retirements to discuss in KJ Wright and Chris Carson, as well continuing to monitor the DK Metcalf contract negotiations.

The NFL’s QB carousel continues to spin. The Seahawks have seemingly considered and gone through every available option at quarterback this offseason, and that continues this week with the Seattle Times and others reporting that the Seahawks have had serious internal discussions about the possibility of trading for Jimmy Garoppolo. Is this an upgrade for our Hawks or simply another secondhand quarterback that they’re trying to talk themselves into being a substantial upgrade. Great progress has been made this offseason for our Seattle Seahawks. They have fixed issues that have plagued them, had their best draft in ten years, made schematic adjustments to bring both sides of the football up to modern NFL standards. So much accomplished all in one offseason, and the same offseason in which the team loses two Hall of Famers. The hope for the upcoming year is going to rely on Coach Carrol and the front office to continue these trends to kickstart this rebuild and bring success much sooner. On this show I'm going to elaborate on exactly what those remaining issues/questions that need to be addressed if the team hopes to make the playoffs next year.

Seahawks Brendon Nelson returns to The Hawk's Nest as we look forward to next offseason. Our Seahawks should be competitive this upcoming year, however with over $40 million of dead money on the books, it's probably going to take a year for the team to potentially push to become an elite team once again. It will take some crafty moves and smart roster building, but on the back of a successful 2022 offseason the front office and Coach Carroll have set the stage for a return to prominence.
