I am your typical fanatic Seahawk fan, also known as the 12th man. I’m creating this channel in the hopes of providing a fun in-depth mile high view of the current state of our beloved Seattle Seahawks. I try to distill the sources, rumors, innuendo in order to arrive at the bottom line. As well, I plan to do an ongoing video series diving into the lore of Great Seahawk Moments and players. Player mobility in the NFL is at an all time high. A player you think is foundational to a team's success suddenly becomes expendable, and not always because the player has fallen. This past week, Chris Jones, perhaps the second best defensive tackle in the sport behind Aaron Donald, did not report to Chiefs training camp, and is currently getting hit with $50,000 a day in fines. The Chiefs have about $10 in cap space, and the sides are reportedly far apart. It's a longshot he hits the trade market, but if he did, should the the Seahawks try and put a package together? I'll break down the particulars of what a trade would look like, what Jones would cost, and if the Seahawks should consider it.

The Cover-3 defense use to be what the Seahawks and Coach Carroll were known for running nearly all the time. For years, they would lean into that simple coverage and dominate with it. In recent years the Cover-3 has been exposed and the Hawks needed to evolve with it. Last year they did, expanding to a new scheme that solves some of the issues of the Cover-3 defense, while also looking to take advantage of the unique skillsets of guys like Tariq Woolen, Quandre Diggs, Jamal Adams and Bobby Wagner. Last season Kenneth Walker put up the second best rookie season for a running back in Seahawks history. He amassed over a thousand yards and 9 touchdowns, while averaging 4.6 YPC. He accomplished this while running behind two rookie tackles, and interior of the offensive line failed often throughout the second half of the year. This season Walker looks to explode. It's always interesting to hear an outsider's view on prospects your team has chosen, especially when you've taken that player high in the draft, and have high hopes for his stardom. Jaxon Smith-Njigba was all over the place at minicamp and seems on the right route to make an early impact for the Seahawks. The Seahawks future is very bright. As we now pass well over a decade under the tenure of General Manager John Schneider and Coach Carroll we have seen them evole in recent years, adjusting issues within the organization that had been glaring for a team. Adapting to an ever-changing NFL. Re-establishing the proper culture. The brain trust has taken mindful steps these past couple of years to fix what has been failing, and from these changes they may find themselves back in the Super Bowl again.

In Coach Carroll’s final press conference of minicamp he lavished heavy praise on cornerback Michael Jackson, calling him the best player of camp. This along with Devon Witherspoon being moved inside during minicamp has some worried that this is an indication Witherspoon hasn’t looked as good on the outside, and to kick Devon inside would mean the Seahawks made a bad selection at pick #5. On the show today, I’ll try and dispel these thoughts on Devon, as even if he’s moved to slot initially, in my opinion it will have more to do with Michael Jackson’s ascent as a player than Devon’s failures.

With the offseason winding down it's time to take a look at the NFC West and assess how the offseason has gone for what has recently been one the toughest division in football for the last few years running. Indeed, the NFC West has at times turned into an arms race. On the show, we're going to take a look at the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, and Los Angeles Rams off-seasons and see if they have continued to put the pedal to the metal.

Bobby Wagner has returned to the Seahawks for a 12th season and as he continues to stack up year after year of consistently playing elite football. It is high time to consider his status amongst the best to ever play the position. Where does Bobby Wanger rank against the all-time greatest middle linebackers in NFL history?
